Gromit Hunting

So Michael and I decided to hunt down a few of the outer lying Gromits last night - i'm not sure he had as much fun as I did though! It took us a while to decide which ones to go to, but we decided to stick with the ones that were surrounding the centre. My plan is to do the walks tomorrow and the next day - as long as the weather gets warmer!

So say hello to Gromit Number 51 - A Mandrill's Best Friend, is situated outside Bristol Zoo - another location of the WOW Gorillas. And this Gromit looks a bit like someone from the Gorilla family - well a Baboon (just look at his red bottom!) This Gromit was designed by Vivi Cuevas who is a Chilean artist now residing in Bristol. This artist makes her living from designing 3D toys and sculptures.

When designing this Gromit, Vivi took inspiration from the Mandrill - closely related to the baboon. This was because it is a comical animal with a bright coloured face and funny facial expressions!
